One extra cent for transportation, what does this mean for us here at VillaSol? Well this one – cent surtax will be part of Osceola County’s attempt to prevent further congestion on our streets, because Osceola County is such a developing area, this county is taking steps to improve roadways now before it is too late. With this surtax we will be raising more than $67 million/ year for transportation projects here in Osceola County which will improve not only roads but additional pothole repairs, improved intersections, safer walking / biking options, and expand public transit services. This proposal is beneficial for all residents in Osceola County, according to a study done by the county, each resident would be paying just an extra $10 a month if the vote passes. What the vote is geared towards is visitors who come visit our beautiful county or Osceola.
ONE STEP AHEAD OF THE GAME
This new project that is being voted on in the hopes of being proactive for future development within Osceola County and minimal delays. This project would improve daily life of anyone traveling or living within the County, by minimizing congestion while commuting to work or home. Not only would this just improve daily life to work but it would greatly improve the response time of first responders which is one of the Counties top priorities. They plan to execute this with using that surtax to widen roads and improve intersections which would ultimately improve response times
SO WHAT IS IT YOUR FORMALLY VOTING ON?
