While temperatures are rarely cooler in Orlando, Fall is an amazing season to celebrate in Central Florida. Locals can experience festivals, spooky thrills and more! Halloween themed events run a full 10 weeks. Like any holiday celebrated in Orlando, Halloween is no exception when it comes to magic, fun and excitement.
Orlando and Kissimmee offer many family activities during Halloween. The best part about some of our favorites is the price, FREE. ?
Enzian Theater will screen its annual “13 Films of Halloween” on select nights from Oct. 3?Oct. 31. Highlights will include Poltergeist (Oct. 3), The Exorcist (Oct. 14), Bram Stoker’s Dracula (Oct. 21) and A Nightmare on Elm Street (Oct. 31). Additionally, the theater’s Eden Bar is selling “13 Cocktails of Halloween,” named after the featured movies, all month long. Finally, the bar will host its 10th annual Halloween Party on Oct. 28. The theater is located in Maitland, about 15 minutes north of downtown Orlando.
Celebration Town Center kicks off its 10th Annual Oktoberfest with Falling Leaves on October 21st. Falling leaves of the season drop on Market Street in the Fall Festival known as Oktoberfest. Listen for the rustling of leaves, relax by the lakeside and rock your troubles away, and enjoy the live music with family and friends in this one-of-a-kind themed extravaganza. October 22nd Celebration Town Center will celebrate ?Rocktoberfest?. Featuring the the 80?s retro-inspired band Katty Shack and international recording artist-Lucy Iris. Hop on a hayride, dance to terrific live music, paint a pumpkin, or just stroll and enjoy the crisp fall air and enjoy the great savings at the lakeside promenade. Leaves fall daily at 7:00PM, 8:00PM, and 9:00PM. Parking and Admission are FREE!
Stop by the local Bass Pro Shop Oct. 21st ? Oct. 31st for FREE Halloween activities including photo opportunities with the Peanuts Gang, costume contests, crafts and trick-or-treating.
Green Meadows Farm will host a Pumpkin Patch Sept. 29 ? Nov. 17 along with Trail of Jack-o-Laterns & Ooky-Spooky Haunted House, weekend evenings in October. Children?s Halloween Fun Days, Oct. 28th & Oct. 29th. Cost is $21 for Florida Residents and $20 children ages 3-12.
Join Old Town for FREE movies on their big screen! Old Town will play family-friendly Halloween movies every Sunday night in October (Oct. 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th) at dusk in the South Entertainment Area. Bring a chair, grab some snacks from your favorite Old Town store, and spend the night watching a movie under the stars.

At Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party (Aug. 25?Nov. 1), theme park guests can trick-or-treat throughout Magic Kingdom, catch the “Boo-to-You” Halloween parade or the Hocus Pocus Villain Spectacular, and stay for the bewitching “Happy HalloWishes” fireworks. NOTE: This is a separately ticketed event not included in your park admission.

SeaWorld’s Halloween Spooktacular (Sept. 23?Oct. 29) at SeaWorld Orlando invites youngsters to trick-or-treat among friendly sea witches, octopuses, mermaids and pumpkin fish in an underwater “fantasia.” Cookie decorating and candy galore make this a sweet Halloween event for families to splash into.

For those looking for a truly scary experience, Halloween Horror Nights (Sept. 15?Nov. 4) at Universal Orlando Resort will have guests facing their deepest fears in themed haunted houses, “scare zones” and mazes inspired by critically acclaimed movies and television series. This year’s terrors include American Horror Story, The Shining and more.
